Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TheAtoms ("TheAtoms", "we") collects when you use this website, why we collect it and what choices you have.

What we collect

Account details. Your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one way hash; we cannot read them.

Learning activity. Courses you join, lessons you open or complete, practice you mark done, notes you write, and the time of these events. This powers your progress, streaks and recommendations.

Coding profiles. If you add your LeetCode or GeeksforGeeks username, we read your public accepted submissions from those sites to verify solved problems.

Cohort and workshop records. For cohorts: enquiry details (name, email, phone), payments, mentor sessions and reviews. For college workshops: your roster entry, attendance and submitted work.

Payments. Online payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive a payment reference and status. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank details.

Messages. Anything you send through the contact form.

Your private notes

Notes you write inside lessons are private to your account. Mentors, instructors, colleges and admins cannot read them through the platform.

How we use your data

To run your account and show your progress; to deliver cohorts and workshops you are part of; to let your assigned mentor, your cohort instructor or your college coordinator see the progress they are responsible for; to send service emails such as activation links and password resets; and to keep the platform secure.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third party advertising.

Who can see what

Other cohort students can see your name and solve progress on the cohort tracker. Your college's head of department and coordinators can see workshop attendance and progress for their own institution only.

Service providers

We use hosting, database, email delivery, image hosting and payment providers to run the platform. They process data only to provide their service to us.

Keeping data and deleting it

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data by writing to hello@theatoms.in. Some records, such as payment records, may be kept where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
